This post is part of Flashback Friday, from Sassy Irish Lassy. When the offer went out to write a post about music, I couldn't resist.
Once upon a time, there was a teenager. He was, among other things, a punk. He had a mohawk. He smoked cigarettes. He drank. He wasn't a very nice person and he got into a lot of trouble.
Then, he got married, had a baby, bought a house and then decided he wasn't ready, just yet, to be an adult. He hurt a lot of people while making this decision.
Then, one day, he realized that he wasn't being a nice person and got his act together. Met and married the love of his live. Bought a house. Had a couple of kids and made amends with those he hurt the most.
He may have a sorted history, but without the past, he couldn't be who he is today. This song, Story of My Life, by Social Distortion, one of my favorite bands, reminds me of that guy.

(Please note, there are offensive words said toward the end of this video, so if you're kids are around, or your at work, or you are offended by it, don't press play.)

If you're so inclined, my blog is the home of Flashback Fridays - if you play along again, link up! We "play" every friday - most often with no theme.
